BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE

Crunchy outside, gooey and chewy inside. Perfect goodness. Chill dough for best results.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/4 cups white sugar, separated
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp hot water
  • 1/2 tsp himalayan salt
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Mix together 1 ¼ cups sugar and the molasses in your stand mixer with the paddle attachment on medium high for about 4-5 minutes, or until well combined. (You will have small nuggets of mixture left.)
  3. Add the remaining sugar and butter, and cream together for 2 minutes or until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Then add the vanilla.
  5. Dissolve baking soda into hot water and then add to the batter. Also add the salt.
  6. Mix in the flour, then chocolate chips.
  7. Chill dough for the BEST cookie dough. (We leave it in the fridge overnight or longer but you can chill for 4 hours if you just can’t wait.)
  8. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased pans lined with parchment paper. Give plenty of space.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes (until the edges become golden brown).
  10. Cool, then enjoy.
